R15 grant from NIA funded!

Collaborative project, led by Drs. Jonathan Singer and Sean Mitchell of Psychological Sciences, to adapt, implement, and evaluate a Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills training group intervention for aging adult informal caregivers of person with Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease Related Dementias (AD/ADRD) to reduce suicidality.

With our team of researchers (Singer, Mitchell, Harris, Littlefield, Reena, Van Allen) we will determing if Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills training groups will reduce a) stress and inflammatory biomarkers, b) suicide ideation, and c) suicide risk factors in informal caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease Related Dementias.
